The Red Bull Style & Ride 2012
Red Bull Ride + Style, which drew more than 5,000 spectators and competitors from all over the world to Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco this year, is a unique event that combines high-level fixed-gear riding — in two categories, freestyle and track — with urban contemporary art.
Walking away from the freestyle category with first place was Josh Boothby (JB) after landing three separate backflips on first attempt, on each run. Not too shabby from an event that only last year saw a backflip thrown into competition by Kohei “Kozo” Fuji, of Osaka, Japan.
